Helping Cristina get new Lungs

Our mom was diagnosed with fibrosis of the lungs in 2022 after struggling to breath and cough for about a year after having COVID. She is needing a lung transplant and going through everything with UCSF to have this massive surgery. We are raising money as this is going to be a very costly event for my parents and as many of you know our dad has Parkinson’s and is unable to work. My mom is traveling back and forth now to UCSF for multiple tests and will continue to do so a few times a month even after her surgery. Once she has surgery, she will be in the hospital for a minimum of 3 weeks hoping there are no complications. After she is discharged from the hospital, she will need to live in San Francisco for 6-8 weeks and needs to be within 30 minutes of the hospital as she needs to be there right away if she is having any kind of complication as well as testing almost daily for those 6-8 weeks. The lodging for this stay will be costly, we are estimating anywhere from $15,000 - $25,000. She will also be placed on 15-20 different medications for the first year following the surgery. Not to mention the medical bills that will follow all of this. We know we are asking to raise a good amount of money and hoping with the support of everyone we can reach this goal or even surpass this.
 We would also like to mention ANY FUNDS LEFTOVER WILL BE DONATED TO ANOTHER PERSON ON THE TRANSPLANT LIST TRYING TO RAISE MONEY. WE WILL BE PAYING THIS FORWARD TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE IN NEED.
