Helping Dad Gain His Independence

Hi, My name is Emma and as some of you know my dad is my best friend and biggest supporter. My dad has always made sure i got what i needed and helped provide me with everything i could ever want.

I’ve chosen to do the same for him.

So his story… Dad has suffered with diabetic ulcers for just over a year. They have usually been dressed and healed. However, a couple of weeks ago a little one formed on his foot and grew rapidly into and infection and abscess in the ankle joint. There was no way they could save his leg and him so unfortunately he had to have it amputated.

Dad has done really well adjusting to it whilst being in hospital, however, he is eager to get home and have some of his independence back.

As part of his independence Dad would love and electric wheelchair. He doesn’t want someone to have to push him around everywhere he goes.

Im not sure how well a go fund me will go but i’ll try my best for my best friend!
