Helping Derrick get new teeth
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Susannah and I’m Derrick’s wife.
This summer Derrick Schmidt needs several dental implant procedures, which we have been told will cost about $12,000 and our dental insurance will not cover any of it after all. We are required to pay in full every step of the way. This is beyond what we can do financially as a family.
We have two kids and Derrick is the breadwinner for our family. He has been trying to move up positions in his company to help us get in a better financial situation, but his missing teeth negatively impacts his confidence; the difficulty speaking with a false teeth retainer, and the whistle produced, is embarrassing and distracting when interviewing.
Because of the missing teeth, Derrick has become avoidant of social situations and is embarrassed to join others in meals or events where refreshments are served, as he would need to remove the false teeth retainer before attempting to bite into anything.
The sudden unexpected procedures needed earlier this year of extractions and bone grafts nearly wiped out our savings, and we are in need of a little help to finish the process.
