Helping Don Schultz and His Family

To the friends, family and all of the others who may come across this page, I must begin by letting you all know how difficult this actually is when your sitting in front of your computer screen. So please, understand that I apologize if my thoughts seem scattered at the moment.

Donald Schultz has worked at the West Seneca Highway Department for nearly 30 years. He currently works in our Sewer Department and unfortunately, the events that took place on October 25, 2016 will forever change not only his life, but his family's as well. 

Don was involved in a tragic incident during work involving one of our "big" trucks. I cannot really go into too much detail regarding the specifics of the incident but I can let you know that he and his family need our help as a community more than ever right now. He is a dedicated father of 6 children and I know he devotes his life to providing for them. 

He has sustained massive injuries to his body and has an extremely long road ahead of him. He is currently at Erie County Medical Center where teams of doctors, surgeons and nurses are doing their very best to stabilize him and prevent any further damage that may occur. We do not know at this time exactly what is wrong but we know that it is extremely severe and the positivity of the outcome is not guaranteed.

Our family at the West Seneca Highway Department is asking for anything that you can donate to help one of our family members out. The money will be used to help his family in a desperate time of need for food, bills, childcare and any other miscellaneous hospital expenses that they may encounter (i.e: parking, meals, gas to go back and forth, etc ). So please, if you can find it in your heart to donate anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated and remembered. This is a man who has served his community in every aspect and it is our time to give back. 

I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read this post and help out. I will end by saying this: Take the time to call your children today and tell them how much you love them. Let your significant other know how much you care for them. Don't sweat the small things in life. Hug your loved ones an extra 10 seconds before and after work. Life is extremely unpredictable and sometimes unfair so cherish the moments that actually matter. Thank you and God Bless.
