Helping during a very scary time

Hi, I'm Summer and I am fund raising for my Mother in law Evelyn Duthie. Evie has been through alot over the last several years. They had found a brain tumor a few years ago behind her right optical nerve. This tumor started to take her eye sight in that right eye. She was then forced to retire due to her failing sight. Evelyn worked in the office and front desk at the Canyons athletic club where she worked for mnay years and Riverbend athletic club before it burned. After a couple of surgeries they were able to take most of the tumor out. They are unable to take all of it because she would loose the eye sight forever and risk being parially paralyzed on her face. Her eyes have not been the same since. This winter she started having problems with her balance and had a couple falls. By this spring she started to fall more often including a fall causing a broken arm. She had hit her head during a couple of the falls. This last time that she fell, it had required an ambulance and the fire department to be involved. She was transported to the local hospital and then was transported to St Pat's in Missoula. She quickly started to go downhill and ended up in the ICU unit on a ventilator. Scans showed a mass of some type at the back of her head. Doctors were left very perplexed as to what it might be. After a week in Missoula she was then life-flighted to Salt Lake city where her brain function has continued to deteriorate. A new mass was just found at the bottom of her brain close to the spinal cord. This showed up in just a few days. Now there are three masses in total. the one behind her eyes is not the main problem, the other two, they do not know what they are. They are the main causes of concern. She has no ability to move on her own and she is very incoherent at this point, including not knowing who any of her family are. A major surgery is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Her husband Norm has been with her since the first ride to the hospital. He is staying in Salt Lake with her, but is incurring many extra expenses. Between his hotel, food, transportation and all of Evelyn's out-of-pocket expenses things are racking up quickly. When you are retired and are on a very tight buget, things like this can really set you back. We are hoping that you all can help us take away some of the extra stress by taking away some of the extra expenses. Anything would be very appreciated. Thank you and God bless
