BU17T TOUGH: Help Eddie Heal!

Donation protected
Eddie Willis is a special young man. The sixteen-year-old is kind-hearted, has never met a stranger, and is an incredibly talented upcoming senior football player for the mighty Oakland Patriots in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

On Monday, April 20th, Eddie was fishing with a friend (that's Eddie- always fishing!) when he suddenly became numb on the left side of his body. After tests were ran at Saint Thomas-Rutherford, Eddie was rushed to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Tests confirmed what many feared but were shocked to hear: Eddie suffered a stroke, affecting his movement on the left side of his body and his speech. At this time, the cause of the stroke and the extent of permanent damage are unknown.

As we all deal with the stresses of COVID-19, Eddie's family's stresses have just been confounded by his distressing and shocking diagnosis.  To make matters even more difficult, only his mother, Jessica Willis, can be by his side in Vanderbilt Children's ICU due to the virus. At this time, doctors are unsure how long Eddie will be in the hospital. Eventually he will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility for physical therapy but, again, doctors are unsure how long this process will be. If you find it in your heart, please donate to help Eddie and his family get through this difficult time. Your donation will go directly to the Willis family in helping with medical bills, meals, etc.

Let's help Eddie heal!
And don't forget... GO PATRIOTS!
