Helping 3rd shift and LOTS MORE

With the TA being voted down we need to change, I had many reaching out needing coats and things for their kids and for themselves too!! I am not one to say no to anyone outside needing money for bills. Mainly because there is funding for that and it's a legality thing. Consider giving knowing I have fed 6 nights at midnight, the 7th will be tomorrow, bought 9 coats, and helped many with diapers, wipes etc. The kids shouldn't go without needs for sure. I have where every penny went thus far and am willing to share it, however will not share individual stories, that's their story to share. I know in total it's been a small number to the whole number of people who need it, but I will do what I can when I can. Food for the line is important, but not as much as a 3 year old having a coat to wear when it's cold outside. Know I'm thinking of you all on 3rd shift still!! I've even had some "tip" me and all that money has gone straight back to coats and things that are needed.

We have toys for Christmas starting to unfold and Thanksgiving baskets. There are so many ways to help if not this way!!

This is our original mission.... but sometimes plans change and when a door to help opens I hope more go through it. We will still donate extras at the end of the strike like stated!

First, I want to thank you in advance!! Solidarity! I know many on the 8pm-8am shifts are not feeling as much love as the rest of our brothers and sisters on the day shifts are!!! I worked 3rds for years and understand how trying this can be. We have decided to donate our time to make sure these brothers and sisters get a hot meal delivered to them at night. We are going to give to all the QC locations each time we cook. How much in donations we get determines how often we go. We will be asking for food donations to help cover the costs as feeding everyone will get expensive. We started this page to help cover things we do not get donated. We will be doing this as long as we can. We will post what we are fixing and on what days it will be there on the QC John Deere Strike page. Anything will help as we are planning on cooking each night for 200+ people this will be alternated days and times so everyone can go through a rotation. If we get enough donations to go every night we will!!!

A list of items we also need will be posted on QC Swap, QC John Deere Strike group, and public on my Facebook page. The list will be updated regularly as we need items.

ANY MONEY LEFT OVER AFTER THE STRIKE WILL BE SPLIT AND DONATED. The charites we will give it to are QC Paws, UAW local 865 Woman's Group, UAW local 865 Veterans Group.
