Hopefully this gets to the right person and goes to your heart after reading this. I am Aubrey a very good friend of Jewel Stafford. Finally she is ready to share her story. Unfortunately she was in a near fatal car accident in July 2022 in which she barely survived due to being drugged/ Roofied at a popular local bar in Easton , MD…. Please read her story below
“I’ve waited months to do this because I never thought I’d be ready but I think it’s time I share my story in hopes that it’ll help someone else or prevent it from happening to anyone else. For those who don’t know me, my name is Jewel Stafford, I am 23 years old and I am a shock trauma survivor. The night of July 13th, 2022 I was out with a deaf friend of mine at a local restaurant in Easton, MD. We were just having a normal dinner between two friends who haven’t seen each other in 3 years. We were then approached by two men offering to buy us a drink. With our drinks already in hand we let them pay for those and moved on. They took it upon themselves to sit next to us. I was interpreting for one of the men and my friend after about 30 minutes they became very aggressive about us coming to their house so we left. I dropped my friend off, got out to hug her and the rest is a black hole in my brain. I woke up 3 days later in Shock trauma in Baltimore. They told me I fell asleep behind the wheel and hit a culvert pipe going 90 mph. My car had rolled 9 times, during the 3rd to last roll I was ejected onto the hood and the car rolled over me causing me to break my right hip, 10 ribs, my shoulder, I lacerated my liver, my spleen ruptured so they removed it, ACL tear, ACL Avulsion fracture, my bladder ruptured as well as a lung embolism and brain hematoma. I lacerated my leg so bad on the windshield I required 87 stitches. They said my knee and shin bone were exposed. They found pure fentanyl in my system, I was drugged. My BAC was under the legal limit. I was in ICU for 4 weeks and a rehabilitation center for 1 more week. The man who found me said I was laying in the roadway intersecting with the main road which means I crawled over 50 feet to try to get help. I was covered in blood to the point where they thought I knocked my teeth out. I don’t remember any of it. All I remember is them putting a white sheet over my head when the helicopter arrived to prevent debris getting in my eyes and I thought that was it.. I thought I died. I struggle severely with PTSD especially flash backs. 6 months after the accident we discovered that my shoulder was a non union fracture. I had to undergo reconstructive shoulder surgery as well as an iliac crest wing bone graft on February 24th, 2023. There are 9 pins and a plate in my arm and a pin in my hip. I’ll never be the same again but I truly know that miracles really do happen and God will always protect you. He gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. I’m struggling financially and mentally due to all the time I’ve had to take off work for recovery. I just want to prevent this happening to someone else. Thank you for reading my story and I hope it touches you in some way.”
…. Since her coming out about her story multiple people have reached out saying they too have been drugged at this exact same bar. My hopes is that us as a community can come together and help her get back on her feet. This woman can barely move and still has to do DoorDash to try and get food on her table. I would like to at least get her some money together to have her sit comfortably for a few months til disability kicks in (which won’t be til December). Also to help with medical cost and ect.
If anyone would like to message me about any events that happened at this bar “Tiger Lilly” please private message me as this is a open investigation.
Thank you for taking the time to read ❤️
