My sister-in-law, Brandy is one of those people who "takes a lickin and keeps on tickin" and gets up after being knocked down! Picture above is my Mom and Brandy and her 14yr old daughter at Thanksgiving(L-R)
At 11 years old Brandy lost her Mom to breast cancer(her Mom was 31).
At about 30 years old herself...diagnosed with the same breast cancer as her Mom. She went "all in" and had a double masectomy so she would be alive to raise her kids. Now, After a short few years- She was just diagnosed with a mass on her left front lobe of her brain and is in surgery as I write this. She is so strong!
She has dealt with headaches (migraines) growing up so when she started having them more she just thought she was sick or had Covid or??
She went to the ER Monday night because my brother took her- she was having other incidents.
An MRI showed a mass the size of a small tangerine.
Brandy works hard but has not been able to for the past 2-3 months. My brother her husband, works. Their son who's 20 works also. This type of surgery has a 2-3 month conservative recovery period. They do not have regular insurance.
I want Brandy to be able to recover and not worry about rent or taking care of anyone else. Just enough to cover the rent for 2 months for them & their 3 kids would help especially with the price of gas and travel to and from hospital and doctors appointments.
We all need a little help sometimes. $5 $10, $20 can make a difference and she will "kill" me for doing this but it's a risk I'm willing to take❤ (Plus she won't be able to catch me for a while)
UPDATE- Brandy came out of her surgery and most of the mass was removed. It will take 3 days or so to biopsy and figure out the next steps. She has one mean looking long "S" type scar in her hairline with a super amount of staples. Obviously a massive headache!
She is able to communicate and text.
I am so humbled by the amount of support she/they have received.
It will be a long road still but if anyone can make it happen it's Brandy❤
Thank-you so much-
