Helping Hand for Chamito's Loved Ones

Jorge Alcala, better known as Chamito, was a beloved friend, promoter, brother, son, and father. He was a hero in the Hispanic community. From job opportunities, community connections, to entertainment, he has been a staple in the Houston community for more than 30 years. I think if we were to ask him, he would say his greatest achievement was his son, Benji. Anyone who has had the pleasure to meet Benji knows how similar he is to his dad. He is friendly, giving, stylish, and lights up the room. Chamito's passing on July 8th is a great loss for his family, friends, and the whole Houston community.

Chamito's family has suffered a great loss and needs our help to recover. Susan, a dedicated teacher, will have to burden all the financial responsibility. These funds will go directly to Susan and Benji to help them financially through this devastating time.

Hoy nos invade una profunda y desgarradora tristeza al enterarnos del fallecimiento de Jorge. Su pérdida es un golpe devastador para todos nosotros, y nuestros corazones están con su familia y seres queridos en este momento tan doloroso. Jorge era una persona muy querida por toda Venezuela y Houston. No es un número más en una estadística, un amigo, un hijo, el mejor padre que ha podido tener Benjamin. Por eso, hoy necesitamos de tu ayuda/colaboracion para poder cubrir con todos sus gastos funebres para estos devastadores momentos.
