Helping Hand for Charles Gillette's Battle

Update: I have edited the goal, as medical expenses have continually climbed. Thank you to everyone for your support and donations. Reaching our first goal was monumental! I had hoped the original goal would have been enough, but we all understand how expensive having a serious medical condition can be. Traveling expenses and continuing to pay the bills all at one time. Again thank you and please continue to share.

My name is Michelle. I have been close friends of the Gillette family for almost 15 years. On Tuesday, July 2nd, devastating news was given to Charles Gillette. With his loving wife by his side, he learned that he has Malignant neoplasm of the esophagus that has metastasized to his liver, lungs, brain and lymph nodes. He will begin palliative chemo on Wednesday, July 10th. The Gillette family would never ask for help. They are the ones that are always lending a helping hand to others. During this time Melissa quit her job so that she is able to take care of Charles and take him to his many doctor appointments. 100% of the money raised will go to medical costs and to funeral expenses. Anything over that will go to help support Melissa and the kids during all of this. As you could imagine this is not only emotionally hard but financially difficult also.
