In Loving Memory of Nkunda Rukinisha

Nkunda was stabbed at Edmonton LRT by stanger near Edmonton's Belvedere LRT station Sunday night July 9,2023.

Nkunda loved life and was instant friends with everyone he met. His great sense of humour always lightened up all situations. He was a kind soul, always eager to lend a helping hand, father to many people and grandfather to many in the community.

Nkundabatware, a husband and father of seven, immigrated to Canada nine years ago, fleeing violence from the Congo.

“His wife has shared that her family could have never imagined they would be affected by violence such as this in Canada. He was a constant source of love, strength, and support for his 7 children . He worked tirelessly to provide them with a nurturing and stable environment, striving to give them the best opportunities in life. Now, it is our turn to rally together and ensure that Nkunda legacy of love continues to guide his 7 children.

We have created this GoFundMe campaign to extend a helping hand to Nkunda's family in their time of profound need. The funds raised will be dedicated to securing their emotional and psychological well-being, educational purposes and a cause near and dear to Nkunda’s family.
