Helping hands for Elizabeth Cox

Hi, my name is Tracy Turpin and I am fundraising for Elizabeth Cox. In July of 2022, Elizabeth was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a rare blood disorder that causes scarring of the bone marrow making it difficult to produce red blood cells. She has required several blood transfusions and hospitalizations of the last year while waiting for a donor match for a bone marrow transplant. Glory to God a donor has been found! On February 13, 2023 Elizabeth began chemotherapy to prepare for the bone marrow transplant at Johns Hopkins University Kimmel Cancer Center. She will be traveling there on April 27, 2023 to have a port placed and to complete the treatments needed to prepare her for the transplant. After Elizabeth’s transplant, she will be required to live near the hospital for three months and have close follow ups with her specialists to ensure the transplant is successful. This will be a difficult time for Elizabeth as she has to be away from her home, her two children Travis and Krista, and her sweet granddaughter Claire. As you can imagine, the cost of living will be substantial with rent for the apartment there, her cost of living and medical expenses, as well as the cost to maintain her home here in Floyd County. We are reaching out for prayers, love and support, and any financial contributions you are willing to make during this difficult time. All who know Elizabeth knows she is a humble, beautiful child of God who has full trust that the Lord will provide. Her faith has never wavered through it all making her a testimony to all who know and love her. All funds will go directly to Elizabeth to aid in housing, medical expenses and the cost of living.
