Helping hands for Rachel and Adam
Donation protected
Our dear friends Adam and Rachel have been a very happy couple for quite some time now. They had very exciting plans this past June, a beautiful wedding in the Temecula wine country with all of their loved ones and plans for a bright and fun filled future.
Things took a devastating turn just six days before the much anticipated event. Rachel had a seizure in the middle of the night, and was rushed to the emergency room. Rachel’s sixteen year old daughter Maddie and Adam waited on pins and needles to find out what could have caused this sudden scare.
When the doctors finally returned, they told them that Rachel had a mass on her brain in the area which controls motor skills. This unfortunately left her with inability to use the left side of her body.
They still needed to run tests to find out the cause, and with the ceremony just days away, Adam decided they needed to do all they could to continue with the wedding. Rachel managed to gather the strength to proceed with the nuptials, and they joined together as husband and wife.
Just two days later, they heard the devastating news. Rachel has stage 4 Glioblastoma-brain cancer. This cancer is unfortunately very aggressive. Rachel has an overwhelmingly positive attitude and a strong will to survive. Adam has been by her side tirelessly as treatments have been wearing Rachel down. She needs twenty four hour care, and it has left them unable to work.
We are looking to our community to help this extremely loved couple be able to keep up with treatments and mounting medical bills, while managing to pay living expenses as well. We hope with all of our hearts to see Rachel recover and for them to be able to fulfill their dreams of a life full of love and adventure as husband and wife.
We have decided to have a fundraiser at our salon courtyard to raise money to help. The event will be held at Salon Bleu on Sunday, Feb 23rd 2020 from 1pm-5pm. All are welcome. We will be holding a silent auction, and we would appreciate any donations or help you have to offer. Thank you so much.
