Helping Heath Latshaw!

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Charli Gunter. I’m starting this go fund me to help Heath and Kristy Latshaw with monthly bills, groceries, gas, etc.

UPDATE! Heath had his radiation mask made this past week and will begin radiation soon. Pictures below!

•On March 10, 2022 Heath Latshaw passed out while at work. He was rushed to the ER at CHI Memorial hospital. His potassium was dangerously low and BP was 68/40.

•They did a CT scan to check for broken bonesin his face and bleeding on the brain. During the scan they found a mass in his brain. Then they ran an MRI and discovered the mass was a benign tumor on his pituitary gland. Heath was critical and taken to the ICU. The doctors talked to Heath about his next steps and the surgery to remove the tumor. Heath was
released on March 13, 2022.

•On March 18, 2022 Heath had a
five-hour surgery through his nose to remove nasal polyps and the pituitary gland tumor. The surgery was done by Dr. Babu and Dr. Morse. During the surgery Dr. Babu found the tumor to be larger
and higher in the brain than to be expected. The tumor was wrapped around the entire left optic
nerve and carotid artery in his brain. Dr. Babu dissected a piece of the tumor and decided he couldn't go any further at this time. A second surgery would be needed to remove more of the pituitary gland tumor at a later date.

•Heath was released from the CCU on
March 22, 2022.

•On March 13, 2022 during a routine MRI Heath unexpectedly had a seizure and was advised to go to the ER. At the ER Heath had another seizure before his MRI. His magnesium was low and was given
medicine by IV for this and seizures.
He was released and placed on medication for seizures.

•On April 25, 2022 Heath had a craniotomy with excision of pituitary tumor. Dr. Babu went through the right side of Heath's skull. The surgery was eight hours and Dr. Babu removed
the entire tumor off the optic nerve and 80% of the remaining tumor. The remaining tumor is wrapped around arteries in the brain and cannot be removed. Heath was released from
CCU on April 27, 2022.

•Heath will have further doctor appointments and possibility of radiation on the remaining
tumor.

*Heath has tried to remain positive through all his numerous medical procedures. Heath has been out of work since March 10, 2022 and has
not been released by the doctor to go back to work because of further treatments.

Heath has had countless appointments with multiple doctors in Chattanooga and has is extremely expensive right now. I’m just trying to take one burden off their plate.

•I will update this page as they come available.
