Helping Heather Cross
Just like any other Friday, Heather was stopped in a school zone to turn into the school her 5 year old son attends preparing to meet Matt, her husband, for a family dinner.
What Heather couldn’t see coming at her, because of a small hill, was a Shannon Hills Arkansas police officer. He was traveling at an estimated 50 to 60 mph, in a school zone, and in her lane.
Heather was hit head on so hard she was knocked 97 feet into trees on the other side of the road. Her sons car seat was found in the middle of the road.
Heather was rushed to the hospital and has since been through multiple surgeries for a broken hip and other injuries. she has also had multiple strokes now as well.
The state police have told Matt that the fault lays with the officer. Heather is a hair dresser. Her lively hood was taken. Her ability to make a living may be gone forever due to the severity of multiple strokes.
Matt’s work takes him away from home for months at a time which he can no longer do. He is doing all he can in taking care of his seriously injured wife and confused little boy.
It’s been 10 days now and Heather is still in ICU awaiting more surgery in Little Rock. The city of Shannon Hills has not reached out to see how she is doing.
Money has simply stopped coming in for Matt and Heather even though they still have a mortgage, and a car payment as well as utilities and food. Heathers medical bills will also be catastrophic.
Please consider helping this family an any way you can. Even a dollar or a share can help make a difference. So much has been taken from them. Help us give back!
