Donation protected
100% of funds raised will be transferred to Father Lawrence Malama, the priest for the Holy Family Parish in Molineux, St. Kitts. Any amount will help and all donations will be greatly appreciated by the Parish.
The Ask: During their 16 years in Molineux, St. Kitts, the sisters have faced many challenges and struggles with a spirit of gratitude and compassion. They are currently seeking donations to help build a playground for the preschoolers and that is the main focus of this fundraising campaign. They also have additional items on their wish list including:
* Television set for showing children’s educational DVDs
* Children’s educational DVDs
* Meals for the students
* Computer with printer
The School: The Holy Spirit Catholic Preschool in Molineux, St. Kitts opened its doors on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Their current building was dedicated on January 15, 2015, the day of the Feast of St. Arnold Janseen. The first day of class for the kids at the new building began on January 20, 2015. The school is currently administrated by Sister Edel of the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters and has 25 preschoolers currently enrolled at the present.
The Holy Spirit Catholic Preschool focuses on:
* Helping families, especially mothers, to form and educate their children.
* Building a strong foundation of Christian values and morals.
* Helping children to appreciate their culture and at the same time train them to be multicultural-minded.
* Working in groups to develop good interpersonal relationship skills in their early education.
* The preschool also emphasizes the important collaboration actions of punctuality, politeness, and tidiness.
How We Got Involved: Kathryn and I believe that there is a time and place for everything and that everything happens for a reason. We were supposed to celebrate our 15-year wedding anniversary in 2020. However, due to COVID, we had to postpone our trip until this year (November 2021). During our belated anniversary trip to St Kitts & Nevis, we had the good fortune of attending Sunday mass at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Molineux, St Kitts where we met Father Lawrence Malama and Sister Theresa Thanh Thao Nguyen.
I'm sure if we had gone last year, we wouldn't have had the pleasure of meeting them. We have been blessed with so much in our lives and are forever grateful for all that we've been given. During Father Lawrence's homily, we were touched by the Holy Spirit and felt a calling to help this community. Thus, we are started this GoFundMe page in hopes of gathering as many donations as possible to serve the needs of the Parish by helping Holy Spirit Catholic Preschool and the kids they serve; this is our small way of giving back. We would appreciate it if you would help share this campaign to broaden our reach far and wide.
God Bless!
