Helping homelessness in memory of my brother

In memory of my beloved brother, Ali Shahbazi, who passed away last year, my family and I are raising money for a cause he always supported: helping the homeless community and unsheltered animals.

We chose The Giving Spirit as the donation center, as we were personally in touch with them, volunteered in their events, and observed the kindess and support they share with the people in need.

This is how the The Giving Spirit describes their mission: "We provide immediate aid and a human connection to homeless lives--men, women, children and families in Greater Los Angeles. We also educate volunteers and communities about the human face of homelessness with the goal of recognizing that homelessness does not mean hopelessness and lives can be improved and housing challenges resolved through community awareness and action."
