Helping Immigrant Families in Crisis: Miles for Smiles

We are two highschool students at Wilson Highschool, Long Beach CA who want to fundraise to help provide funds for lower income immigrant families struggling with the mass deportation crisis. The fundraiser will go on March 10th to May 18th and we want to raise at least $500 for our donation goal. During the fundraiser period, every week we will be tallying up the amount of donations we receive. Every $20 is one mile we will run while passing out red cards to high foot-traffic areas and neighborhoods. The goal is to get more outreach about this issue by recruiting runners who would like to help join us on our runs to help bring awareness to the mass deportation, either through our school cross country team and volunteers.
