Latinas Stronger Relief Fund
Donation protected
COVID-19 is ravaging the Hispanic/Latino community. According to the New York Department of Health, they are dying at the highest rates of any racial group. Latinos make up 34% of the city's deaths compared with 29% of the population.
New York and New Jersey assemble a large number of Latinas and immigrant women in America. In this time of uncertainty, insecurity, and instability, they are the ones deeply affected by a lack of financial and mental support, aggravated by a language barrier and the fear of getting healthcare caused mostly by their immigration status.
This fundraising will support Latinas in New York and New Jersey affected by:
- Covid-19
- Domestic Violence
Any amount you choose to give will be much appreciated.
The donations will be distributed to Latin women in New Jersey and New York to:
- provide food to local families;
- create a supportive group of women inside local communities spreading encouragement and guidance;
- provide guidelines and updated information on COVID-19;
- inspire leadership through courses and educational programs;
- create a strong partnership with local organizations to prevent and end violence against immigrant women;
- develop projects promoting entrepreneurship and innovation on local communities;
- inspire critical social thinking through art and movement;
Yours gratefully!
