Support Gun Safety for Avi's Birthday
Donation protected
My name is Avi Dhyani. I’m a freshman at Cornell University, and with my birthday coming up, I’m asking for something meaningful. Instead of gifts, I want to raise $5,000 to fight for gun safety, and I need your help.
The funds will be distributed across three crucial causes:
1. The Harris-Walz 2024 Campaign (40%): The Harris Administration is committed to enacting an assault weapons ban and strengthening gun laws nationwide. They are the only presidential ticket offering real solutions to stop the cycle of gun violence.
2. Down-Ballot Democrats (30%): Electing candidates at the state and local levels who are dedicated to gun safety is essential. We need leaders who will fight to protect our schools and communities.
3. Advocacy Groups (30%): Organizations like March for Our Lives and Students Demand Action are tirelessly working to pass gun safety legislation and raise awareness. Your contribution will help them continue their vital work.
Why This Cause Matters to Me
I grew up just 25 miles from Apalachee High School, where four students were recently killed in a tragic shooting. These kids were part of my community, and their loss hits close to home.
In America, over 120 people die from gun violence every single day. This isn’t just a political issue—it’s about protecting our families, schools, and future. We’ve had enough thoughts and prayers. Now is the time for action.
How You Can Help
For my birthday, all I want is your support in this fight. Whether you can contribute $5 or $500, every dollar brings us closer to safer schools, neighborhoods, and communities.
Together, we can make sure that no more families have to endure the pain of losing loved ones to senseless violence. Let’s honor the memory of those we've lost by taking real action and supporting the leaders who will stand up for gun safety.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
