Helping Jay Honold recover from stroke
Donation protected
Aloha,
Kraig and I are raising funds that go directly to Jay to pay for treatments, care, therapy and equipment that insurance will no longer cover. Jay had a massive stroke that affected his right side and speech, making recovery slow. Many people don’t know that it’s a minimum of 5 years of hard work to better stroke recovery. We’ve spoken with many Doctors in the field who emphasize that the human body can repair beyond expectations with time, good care, personal will and innovative treatments.
Jay and his sister Carolyn have the time, devotion and personal will, they need help now with the expenses to make a better recovery happen. The funds requested are for PT, patterning, speech therapy, hyperbaric treatments, a Spect test for a baseline pic of how the brain is healing along with follow ups and new treatments that become available along with home health care help. Jay’s out of pocket expenses are over $100,000 already and now he needs help to continue.
Jay Honold has helped and cared for others all his life. His vibrant personality, love of family and friends and incredible mind are still there. We had the pleasure of visiting him and the improvement he has made is very good. He and I worked on the computer for hours together - he’s as sharp as he ever was, but with mixed aphasia and apraxia it’s hard at this time to communicate. With continued therapy that can change.
With your support much more is possible.
we love Jay and know many of you do too. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
