Helping Jeannie, this is Jeannie before the stroke

Donation protected
On November 23, 2018, my sister in law, Jeannie Lopez, suffered a stroke.  Jeannie is only 55 years old, is married to my brother and has a daughter, my niece Andrea.  While in the hospital, Jeannie was operated on four times and was kept in ICU until January 10, 2019.  From the ICU she was discharged. Time to go home, medical insurance would not cover her stay any longer because there was nothing more to do for her.  My brother made all the arrangements to bring Jeannie home.  She could not move, talk, eat, nothing.  My brother went on a hired nurses, because Jeannie needs around the clock help.  In addition to that, my brother has to take Jeannie to her medical appointments every week.  They live in Arecibo, which is an hour drive to the hospital, but as Jeannie cannot move, he has to hire an ambulance to pick her up, take her to the appointments and then return in an ambulance.  This alone has a cost of $300 for each appointment, which is usually every week.  He has three nurses taking care of Jeannie; with the hospital bill, the ambulance, the nurses fees, her medicines, and much more.  His savings have been depleted and Jeannie is going to need treatment, in house care for the rest of her life.  My brother and niece take care of Jeannie during the weekends and at night, even though he has to get up at 4:00 am to go to work every day.

With your help, he would be able to pay for the ambulance and nurses fees.  As of today, Jeannie can talk a little bit, move her feet and hands.

Jeannie and my brother  have been married for 24 years, and you can see the love in their eyes when they talk to her, lift her up, feed her; but the time has come to ask family members and friends for help.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  This can happen to anyone, one day you're ok watching TV with your kids and the next day, you're being rushed to the hospital. vacation.

I did not post a picture of Jeannie as she is at this moment.  We want to protect her privacy.  She looks nothing like this picture taken before her stroke.  She has lost weight, her head was shaved a couple of times, and her hair is just starting to grow.   We promise to post a picture when Jeannie gets better, because we believe she will get better; it's not going to happen in a few months, we know it's going to be a couple of years.

Thank you for your donation, may God bless you and we ask that you keep Jeannie, my brother, and niece in your prayers.
