Helping Jessica get through treatment

One year ago at this time , our daughter started feeling unwell. She, as most of us, thought maybe a cold or the flu. But as the months progressed, Jessica started feeling worse. Symptoms started with exhaustion and dizziness and mainly GI issues. After having an endoscopy and colonoscopy the doctors diagnosed c. Diff (clostridium difficile). It took her about 2 months of heavy antibiotics and different treatments to finally rid of this awful bacteria. 3 weeks following that, Jess started feeling really sick again...more so than before. She tested negative for c. Diff and was shoved around from doctor to specialist to hospital, testing negative for everything and basically being sent home with no answers. Symptoms worsened week by week. She became unable to work in November and became bedridden; hardly able to care for her 1 year old son who is her light and her world. After about 6 months in bed with chronic fatigue and pain, unable to care for herself let alone her child, Jessica was FINALLY diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 2 weeks ago. Jessica’s daily symptoms for the last 6-8 months have included chronic fatigue, swelling and aching of her bones and muscles, severe stabbing pain in her knees, headache, dizziness, inability to put sentences together or remember words, consistent tremors, constant nausea and vomiting and most importantly missing out on life with friends, family, and her son. Since Jessica’s diagnosis she has been undergoing intense therapy including physical therapy to regain her coordination and strength of her muscles, medication to help with the tremors and pain and psychological therapy starting soon. At this point Jess has exhausted all of her short term disability and most likely will wait 4-6 months before getting a determination for longer term disability. She has a child, a mortgage to share, student loans, medical co-pays etc. We are asking Jessica’s family and friends to donate any amount to help get her through treatment without going in debt and having that added stress. Any amount is so greatly appreciated. There is nothing more that Jessica wants than her life back.
