Helping Jose's (JQ) Family lay him to rest

Services for Jose will be held at new Tacoma Cemetery, 9212 Chambers Creek Rd W, Tacoma, WA 98467, in the Chambers Creek chapel on Sunday, January 8th 2023 at 11:00 A.M. A private viewing for the family will be held the day before.

Please feel free to bring a Puerto Rican dish in honor of Jose, or anything else you might like, for the reception immediately following the service.

On November 30th, Jose Velez's life was tragically cut way too short. Jose, who owned JQ's Barbershop in Puyallup, leaves behind his wife, 8 year old daughter, a son, an older son and daughter and 2 stepsons (my grandbabies) I'm not sharing their names for their privacy. (If his wife approves, I will add their names later.)

I am trying to raise money for his family so they can lay Jose to rest. All donations will go directly to his wife to help cover funeral costs so she doesn't have to worry about finances this close to Christmas. They are family, and very dear to my heart, so please, I'm asking for everyone's help.

A little about me. My name is Cheri Vonack, and I've known Jose for a little over 10 years. I met him through his wife Q, whom I've known for about 27 years, and I love her as one of my own. I am going to be managing the funds for her, so she has one less thing to worry about during this hard time.
