Helping Julia Daly & Family

Right before the holiday season Julia’s husband was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Bill, a bus driver, was no longer able to work, and couldn’t even be taken care of at all because Julia could not hire help on her supermarket-cashier’s salary. Bill and Julia never had any extra money on their meager earnings, but the love they shared made a warm home for them, and their two college-age daughters.

With Bill now unable to even care for himself, his family is in a deep financial crisis. Julia has tried to increase the hours at the supermarket, but she is falling deeper and deeper into the hole. Dealing with the devastating diagnosis and the possibility that their girls will have to leave college and their dreams for a better future is an overwhelming fear of Julia’s.

She and her husband are salt-of-the-earth people. They both have been exemplary employees, with longevity at their jobs. But they are out of money, and for Julia, nearly out of hope.

For the sake of Julia, Bill and their daughters, I hope you take this opportunity to make the difference in a family’s life. Let’s do whatever we can to surround this family with kindness and compassion by giving them the help and encouragement they so desperately need.
