Helping Kathy Newman who has diagnosed with ALS

Hi my name is Kathy. I was diagnosed with ALS in June 2023 after initially being incorrectly diagnosed with a stroke. As a result of my ALS I had to stop working in January 2023 which has greatly impacted our ability to cover medical expenses such as prescriptions, travel and any required renovations (ie bathroom etc).

I have been involved in the community as volunteer myself on numerous occasions yet find very difficult to reach out for help at this time for myself.

As a result of my ALS my mobility has been greatly affected. I currently require 24 hour assistance and the use of a wheelchair.

My husband Stephen has had to cut back on his work hours to take care of me and is also experiencing his own ongoing health issues.

Any funds donated will be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering these unexpected expenses.
