Helping Ken & his family with medical expenses.

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alison Nightingale and I teach science with Ken. I have worked with Ken Utterback at Mountain View for more than 20 years. He is currently experiencing a very serious and aggressive form of bladder cancer. Ken is a very private person and so only a few people have known so far. However, with his permission, the science department decided to do a fundraiser for him and his family. His wife, Julie Stewart, just beat cancer two years ago. Ken's father just passed away (a different kind of bladder cancer).

It has been a rough time for them recently. Julie currently is not working and Ken is out as well. Early this summer, a small group of teachers & friends from MVHS got together and got Ken's yard looking great. We worked all day with chainsaws and what not to give him this small gift.

I've included a picture of zinnias. Ken grows the most beautiful zinnias every year. He is also an accomplished musician, creative teacher and gifted story teller. We miss him very much here at MV. If you would like to donate, all proceeds will go to Ken and the expenses incurred in his fight against cancer.
The MVHS Science Department thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.
