Helping Laura Rebuild After a Medical Emergency

We're reaching out to you today to ask for your support in helping our dear friend, Laura, get back on her feet after a sudden medical emergency turned her life upside down. Her journey to recovery has been incredibly challenging, both physically and financially.

Laura had been living a modest but stable life until this unexpected health crisis hit her. Due to the mounting medical bills and the inability to work during her recovery, she's now facing the very real threat of losing her car and not being able to meet her basic living expenses. Who is Laura?

Laura is a hardworking and compassionate individual who has always lived her life with a spirit of independence. She has faced life's multitude of challenges with grace and determination, and she's always been there for her family, friends and community. Laura is a shining example of resilience and strength.

The Medical Emergency:

Just a month ago, Laura’s life took an unexpected turn when she had a life threatening medical emergency that landed her in an unexpected, uninsured, ER visit. Laura’s necessary medical team resides in San Antonio and the need for treatment has been so great, Laura has been toughening out a several week un-housed living situation, sleeping in her car to guarantee she can stay local and make her appointments for ongoing treatment. Through the recovery process, her medical bills have piled up.

How You Can Help:

We're launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise $2,500 to cover Laura’s upcoming medical bills and help her with her cost of living expenses in the short term as she moves into a new residence. Your generous contribution will go towards:

Medical Bills: Covering the costs of medications, and ongoing treatment that Laura needs to regain her health, after not just a recent medical crisis, but a long year of tough battles with her health.

Basic Living Expenses: Helping Laura make her car payment by the 1st of November to continue commuting to health appointments and work, as well as the imminent living expenses. Laura has been working hard to research and guarantee her bed at a new residence, as the nights have been steadily turning colder.

Emotional Support: Providing Laura with the peace of mind she needs to focus on her recovery without the overwhelming stress of financial instability.
