Helping Linda Geurts

Hi, my name is Richard and I am starting this fundraiser to help my incredible wife with her medical bills. I am recently retired and my wife was set to retire from Mohnen’s Family Restaurant in August of this year. We just sold our home in the valley to pursue our dream of living up north. On June 9th, 2023 my wife, Linda Geurts, had an accident at our residents up north. She fell backwards into the fire and was stuck there until I was able to reach her. Due to the severity of the accident she had to be taken by the flight for life to the Milwaukee burn center to get treated. She has 2nd and 3rd degree burns on her back, down the back of her thighs and along her arms. Some of the burns were so deep she recently had to have grafting surgery done. She will have to stay in Milwaukee for an extended period of time while her wounds heal. Because this is going to be a long road to recovery she had to change her plans and retire early. My wife is an amazing, fun-loving, caring person. She treats everyone she meets with so much kindness and has the biggest heart. I wanted to start this fundraiser to show her that she matters to so many people and that her kindness has not gone unnoticed.
