Helping Maddi’s family through their devastating loss

On Friday, the 20th of September, we tragically lost our dearest loved one, Madelyn (Maddi) James. At just 20 years old, Maddi leaves behind a 6 month old daughter, a heartbroken partner, and a mourning community of her family and friends. This was due to complications following a successful transplant for her Leukaemia, that had returned for a second time.

Maddi’s family had put their whole life towards helping her move down to Brisbane again, so that she could receive a second treatment that lasted almost 6 months. Their time, money and resources were spent making sure Maddi always had an extra hand while navigating her short but fulfilled journey of motherhood while battling a difficult illness.

They are now turning towards our beloved community to help with costs to bring Maddi back home and for her celebration of life, and also any expenses that may arise during this difficult time.
