Helping Mark, Meghan, and Lucas

I have started this go fund me on behalf of my brother-in-law,

Mark Ramsay.

Mark was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in April 2022, just 2 months after he and his wife welcomed their beautiful baby boy , Lucas, to the family. Since then Mark has undergone many procedures, tests, surgeries and 8 months of chemotherapy.

In February 2023 he started palliative chemotherapy. Mark would love to spend the rest of his time at home with his family. He currently requires care all through the day as well as throughout the night. The need for care is expected to escalate. There is now concern that the cost of this care may be prohibitive, as the care plan for the coming days, weeks evolves. The province of Nova Scotia provides some coverage for care at home, but there is a large co-pay portion, which is the responsibility of the family.

Funds from this fundraiser will be used to ensure Mark is comfortable and has the care he requires, while being able to spend as much as time as possible with at home with his wife, Meghan, and one year old Lucas. Any remaining funds will be used to support Lucas and Meghan as they move forward.

Everyone who knows Mark knows he is the life of the party. He is also so so kind and has always been the first to jump in to help others.
