Helping me to move on with my life
Donation protected
I have recently been on TV on the 'Welcome to Belmarsh' show. I explained how I was the only transgender prisoner in Belmarsh, and how I was put in prison for helping my Father who was suffering with multiple sclerosis and bed bound to commit suicide. I got a lot of good coverage in the press from this. I was shown leaving the prison and I was put in a hostel. Now my time is up there and the council have not been able to find anywhere safe for me to live, so I am now on the streets. I am able to use my computer in the libraries so I can set this up. I would use the funds for food and travel to different boroughs so I can try and get some safe housing and build up a life for myself. It would mean so much to get any help as I am only in this situation because I chose to help my Father when he needed help to end his suffering. I have spent 4 years being punished for doing the morally right thing and now it seems I am still being punished. All I want is to be able to find somewhere safe to live and start the rest of my life.
I want to have a career in IT, so I know where I want my life to go. Unfortunately, the system has really let me down. As you can imagine, being homeless makes you extremely vulnerable, more so when you are transgender. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
