Helping Melissa Fight Leukemia
Donation protected
Melissa Boyett is a wife, mother of two, and a Kindergarten teacher from Lyons, Georgia. In March 2016, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This diagnosis forever changed the course of her life.
Melissa had take a leave of absence from teaching and leave her "school babies". She has spent many months in the hospital getting chemotherapy to fight this vicious disease. This was time away from her family, friends, and two young sons that she loves so much.
Finally, after months of chemotherapy and physical therapy, Melissa was able to head to Atlanta for her only chance for a cure. On March 22, 2017, she was finally able to receive a stem cell transplant. She is doing well but still has a long way to go and will not be able to return home for many months.
Fighting this disease is very expensive. Due to medical, travel, and living expenses, an account is being set up to help this sweet, strong fighter cope with covering the huge burden placed upon her.
Please help if you are able to donate. Any amount will be appreciated. God Bless.
