Mike trust is that genuine old breed of proud Americans who helped build this country. He’s always out there helping others and doing whatever it takes to get the job done, with a smile on his face. This incredible man has the heart of a warrior and the spirit of a saint. A talented skilled tradesman and if you don’t know, you now know that in the blue collard world this man is a folk hero. Always kind, always thoughtful, always generous, loving and compassionate to the brotherhood of man.
His callused hands not only helped build this country but he created masterpieces in the construction world. He took his craft with pride and he mentored many of men in his day into achieving their American dreams. When his time was up in the skilled trades and he was forced to hang his tool belt alongside Michael Jordan’s jersey and Mike had the option to retire, Mike did what Mike does best, he rolled up his sleeves and got in a semi truck and kept this country moving. Mike doesn’t stop, he’s got the energy, the heart and soul of a 20 year old.
The blue collard and the skilled trades world is a small community yet we are also a big family. We are the 20% of Americans who pull the weight of the 100% of this country. Mike is one of our own and after dedicating his entire life to working hard and helping others, we now have to help our brother in arms. …our brother in need.
In the blue collard world it is a never ending bare knuckled and uphill battle to build and move this country forward. On top of that, we have to always figure out how to make ends meet and do this all without a single thank you in a world that’s not always grateful to our blistered feet and callused hands. In our blue collard community, every step is a struggle but every breath is a blessing. A guy like Mike by your side though, a guy like Mike by your side in this journey we call life can make every moment of every day feel cheerful. In good or bad times this guy, this wise, humble, wise and cheerful spirit of a man can and will make you smile, even in the darkest and most tragic of times he can put a smile on your face. He’s one of our own. And we have to help him.
Words can’t convey our sadness in being at the end of our rope right now, feeling helpless and wanting to help our brother in need and having to right now announce that he has been diagnosed with colon cancer as well as stage 4 liver cancer. This is hard. We are in tears. We need to help our brother. Please help us.
His callused hands have helped the less fortunate, his callused hands built this country, his callused hands chained semis on Donner Pass in blizzards to keep this country moving, his callused hands pulled his comrades out of rock bottom situations and then, guess what? His callused hands toasted in cheers many of times when those same brothers were back on their feet.
This gofundme is now a cheers to the old breed of blue collard American, a dying breed, Mike is among the 20% who kept this country moving, who kept building, who kept helping, this man, this folk hero of a man in blue collard America, our dear friend Mike. We are here for you, buddy. We love you, man.
Mike is in a hard time right now, you see, because his body took a beating building this country in the trades and keeping things moving in this country in a semi. His body took such a hard beating that he recently lost his semi job. This was very recent. And now, after everything he has done for so many others, during the holiday season, he was diagnosed with cancer. …a week after he lost his job. He has no insurance. Life’s not fair, this is hard news. But we have to do our part and give back to this man after everything he has done for us.
The plan of action right now from the doctors is to run an ultrasound soon to establish a port location for radiation and chemo. They fear the tumor in his liver is inoperable due to risk of it bursting. Rounds of chemo and targeted radiation is also a part of the plan.
Mike can't work right now due to his condition. And due to the circumstances of his job he had to resort to COBRA to maintain insurance. Additionally, the co payments are stacking up with everything medical related. What can we do?
If you can, it would mean the world to us if you could donate to our cause or even share this gofundme with friends in our community as Mike and Beck mean the world to so many of us. Mike is a legend in our community. He has always given to everyone, he has always built men into being greater men, he has always been out there, rain, hail or snow, just building this country with his hands or moving this country with his inspiring work ethic as a semi trucker. We thank you for your time, anyone out there with a blue collar or white collar on, whatever donation, no matter how big or small helps. Please help us help our brother. This isn’t just a donation, this is honoring the great old breed of the blue collard American hero, AKA, the dying breed of Americans.
