Helping Missy & LeRoy with Medical Expenses

Early last year, Missy was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, which has seriously complicated her health over the past several months. She was hospitalized at St. Luke's Hospital for sepsis and ended up being admitted to the Mayo in Rochester, MN. Both hospitalizations lasted a week. About a week before Christmas Missy fell outside, splitting open her leg. She was then admitted to Grand Itasca Hospital with blood loss and low blood pressure. Following discharge, the wound became infected, and Missy and LeRoy were once again advised to go to the Mayo for evaluation and treatment. Missy was admitted to the Mayo Hospital and has been there for 21 days now. She has had to go to surgery several times to have the wound cleaned out and debrided (the Cushing’s makes healing any wound very difficult.) LeRoy has been traveling back and forth four and a half hours away from home to be with her. He has had to miss work and has had travel expenses added to this cost. Once the wound heals, Missy will require surgery to attempt to cure the Cushing’s Disease which will require another hospitalization. We are hoping to help offset the cost of hospital bills for Missy and travel expenses (for LeRoy) to ease some of the burdens felt by our parents. Any help is appreciated!
