Helping Mom Obtain her U.S. Residency

Donation protected
The pursuit of the American Dream is the shared dream of many in our country. Today, we are seeking your help to raise funds to pay for legal and application fees in hopes to help my mother become a U.S. resident.

My mom, Nora Solorio Ramos, was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico into a large family of 12 where opportunities were limited, and life was a struggle. After many years of hardships, working multiple jobs, marrying my dad, and becoming a mother, my parents knew they wanted to provide a better life for me than they had ever known. With the help of family, they decided to pursue the American Dream. Since arriving here, they have faced many obstacles including limited employment opportunities due to lack of legal status. Finances have continued to be a constant challenge through various injuries and illnesses my parents have experienced, restricting their ability to work in different occasions.

Over the past 33 years, my family has lived in 22 houses - more than anyone should ever have to move in their lives. Despite the constant moves, my mom always found a way to make each house a home. She is our home. Through all her challenges, she has turned to God and has continuously volunteered at church and serving the people in the community. Even in her hardest moments, she has put everyone else first and has been the rock and foundation of our family. If you have the joy of knowing my Mom, you know that she has the ability to lift the spirits of everyone around her and gives the best hugs. Her wisdom is unmatched, her love is so deep, and she welcomes everyone with open arms just the way we are.   We ask for your support today to help her obtain a dream of hers that is not only well-deserved, but long overdue. This monumental moment would give her the opportunity to go back to Mexico and visit her family that she hasn’t seen in over 20 years and enjoy a little of the beauty that is Mexico. It would also open the doors to many new possibilities and maybe even one day, accomplish their dream of homeownership.   We have found a reputable lawyer that recently helped my father obtain his green card. He is hopeful that he can help my mom do the same. After covering the expenses for my Dad’s green card, we find ourselves in need of help to pay for the legal and application fees for my mom’s process. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, even if it is by sharing our fundraiser or saying a little prayer for my mom.

From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate your support!   - The Solorio Family
