Help For Medical & Recovery Expenses For Ms. Cruz

Maria Rivas Cruz known as Ms. Cruz Is a 27 years old 3rd-grade teacher who was working for LAUSD and a student reaching her credential goals. Ms. Cruz enjoyed her profession, cared for, and adored her students.

She is a person who at such a young age set goals in life and was on target to meet every one of them. She's such a wonderful fiance, daughter and sister.

2023 was going to be such an exciting year for her. A year full of memorable events, adventures and a lot of love. As she was in the process of marrying her high school sweetheart, Civil Engineer Raymond Olivares of 11 years in December 2023 for their 12th anniversary.

Raymond and Maria’s love was one of a kind. A love you read in books or see in movies. Anyone that knew them knew how special and how deep in love they were. Many admired their ways of loving each other and most importantly their principles and their hunger for success.They were made for one another.

Unfortunately, God had other plans. On 02/19/2023 Ms. Cruz and her fiance Raymond were stuck by a vehicle traveling over 100 MPH in front of their recently purchased home by a career criminal that was racing from a takeover.

Ms.Cruz had to have reconstructive surgery on her left hand, has a big laceration on her left thigh, her zygomatic arch is fractured, facial fractures, constantly suffering from headaches, nausea, PTSD, depression and ultimately recovering from a brain injury.

We are saddened that her fiancé, her other half, her best friend passed away at the scene and unfortunately she now will not be able to live her and Raymond’s dream of marrying one another and fulfilling their long of being parents.

This has been incredibly hard on both families. We created this page in hopes to raise funds for Ms. Cruz's, housing, medical and recovery expenses as she will need all the help she can receive now that she can not return to her profession and the breadwinner of her home has passed away.
