I am Sulaiman Guveara and I want to help these children who are begging for water and food in my community in Senegal. They are being taken advantage of and are prime candidates for predators at such a young age. Without intervention, the young boys will form gangs to help them protect themselves as a way of survival. The teenage girls are strongly persuaded to find a husband, start working, or do what is necessary to help the family survive, including prostitution. These young children really want to just go to school and learn a skill and have a chance for a different life instead of fighting to survive each day.

I moved from Houston to Senegal and started a chicken farm. I use the proceeds from my farm to help to support these children and try to do the best I can for them, but I am running out of money. The average salary here is about $125.00 USD per month. The cost of feeding the chickens, and making this a safe work environment is higher than the revenue the farm produces. This is done on purpose, by a large corporation to suppress the smaller farms. Without help, I will certainly fail and failing is not an option.

Our Goals:

1. Make sure the chicken and egg farm is strong enough to support the community.

2. Establish housing for the children in a safe environment.

3. Build a school for primary education and for higher learning and technical skill development.

Please consider supporting this much-needed endeavor. I believe that these children could have a bright future, but they currently do not have equal opportunity for a solid foundation. Right now, they cannot just be children because for them, each day is about self-preservation and survival.
