Helping my family get out of Gaza to Belgium
Donation protected
My name is Saed Abu Shmalla and 4 years ago I escaped the war in Gaza to eventually arrive in Belgium, in order to find a better future for myself and for my family. I am grateful to arrive here but I'm left very worried about my family who remains scattered and in danger in Palestine.
Our home has been destroyed.
My father suffers from a heart disease and can no longer talk, he now lives with his brother in Deir Al-Bahah.
My mother Layla and my sister Iman are now in South Rafah where they live in a self-built tent.
My brothers Ahmed and Ibrahim are in Rafah, without a place to sleep.
I am deeply worried about each of them. I want to save them and reunite our family in Belgium. But the passport and documents needed in order to leave Palestine are very expensive. This is why I started this crowdfunding with the help of my new Belgian friends.
It costs 5000 euro in total for one person to get here, mainly due to the high cost of the passport and the evacuation fee. So our first goal is to gather 10.000 euro and start with my mother and my sister.
My ultimate goal is to reunite the whole family and rebuild our future here.
My younger sister Iman (in the picture) wants to study law and my brother wants to continue his nursing education.
But first more than anything we need to be together, in a safe home...
Thank you with all my heart for any possible contribution.
Let's meet one day all together for Maghrib - sunset prayer.
