Helping my Grandma threw this traumatizing time

3/26 Update. Shes still very restless and we aren’t sure how much time we will have with her.

Update! 3/22 Guess we don’t know if she will ever make it home again. She is to restless and they can’t send her home safely if she so restless. She only had about 3 good hours of sleep. Trying to work on a med she can be on continuously at home to stop her from being so restless so everything is still up in the air. The doctors and hospice are doing everything they can and we feel like they are doing the best they can. We don’t want her home and unsafe. I don’t wanna see her fall and get hurt worse so we are trying to do what’s best for her.❤️

UPDATE!! 3/17 with a miracle she woke up, she’s awake and talking. We couldn’t be happier but she will still need a lot of love and support! ❤️

update 3/16 -

So, Janet Rogers has a very bad type of brain cancer. They are thinking one of the worst. Glioblastoma. They can’t biopsy it cause she is to out of control and won’t listen to commands. She needs to be awake and able to communicate with them during the biopsy. Since the tracheostomy she has only gotten worse. They don’t see improvement. So we as a family are honoring her wishes, they have given her medicine to keep her comfortable and taken her off the ventilator, all other meds and feeding tube. It could take hours it could take days. They have already brought in hospice. She was the best momma and grandma a girl could ask for and we are gonna miss her so much.

update: they found two marble sized lesions on her brain, and so far she is not off the ventilator. She is still doing very well, and everything is looking good. They shut her sedation meds completely off, but she’s got something for pain. They weren’t able to take that breathing tube out her heart rate, and blood pressure shot up then she was breathing really fast so they don’t think she’s ready yet to get off of the tube just yet. They’re hoping since they turned the sedation meds off that she’ll be more aware and able to do her commands.

My name is Lexi. My family and I are making this GoFundMe page for my Grandma Janet Rogers after she unexpectedly had a seizure on Sunday 2/25. She is currently at Muskegon Hospital and we are unsure when she will be able to return home. Recently, they have found a mass on the left side of her brain the size of a marble and want to do a brain biopsy as well.

For those who know my Grandma, she is a very sweet, kind, loving, and giving person who would do things for others first rather than herself.

These funds would be used for whatever she needs, like medical bills, rent, food, or other necessary things. She is one of the most important people in my life and I would love to be able to do this for her.
