HELP MY MUM SEND OFF HER APPLICATION FOR VISA

Two years ago my mum sent off her papers to home office to renew her Visa. Since then we have been struggling in terms of money and housing. We have recieved no response from them throughout the past two years in regards to the status or process of her documents. To send off the application it cost £1,552 (home office fee and NHS fee) Just today, a lawyer called home office for her. Their reponse was “She would have to send in a new application because it was sent In slightly late. We have no case number for her.” Her application was sent in late because she was trying to come up with the cash to send off the application. In result she now needs to send in a new application which is now higher in price in total with lawyer fee, NHS fee and home office fee the total is £3,500. This will be more expensive after October 1st. We need all the help we can so we can get my mum back on her feet. Please. Before she lost her job two years ago she was a key worker and she dreams of becoming a midwife. Me (19) and my little brother (9) hate seeing her upset especially with a new sibling on the way.
