Helping my sister, Amanda Ruggiero

January of 2020 my sister, Amanda Ruggiero found out that she was pregnant. She works as a nurse in the emergency room in Brooklyn. In March she started to develop symptoms of COVID19, but at the time they were not testing people for this virus so after a couple of days of being sick and the hospital she worked at started getting more COVID positive patients everyday, her doctor advised her to go out of work which was extended for eight weeks (using 8 out of 12 weeks of her FMLA) because we had no information on how the virus was effecting pregnant women at the time. 
The most devastating moment in our lives especially Amanda's happened on September 20,2020 my sister found out her baby, Vincenzo Ruggiero did not have a heart beat and my beautiful nephew was delivered via  C-section. My sisters heart is broken after 9 months of carrying her precious baby and making plans for him to grow up and have an amazing life was all taken away from her in one moment. She tried to protect Vincenzo from COVID by staying home for those 8 weeks which  only left her 4 weeks of FMLA. She was aware of this and did not mind because with the paid family leave she would receive 10 weeks of disability, now she is not cleared for paid family leave (was only for bonding time with the baby) and is now losing her medical insurance after staying home for only 4 weeks. She is going to have to pay monthly for medical insurance (COBRA) to try and keep insurance for herself which is needed for therapy/doctor visits and any other help that she needs to try and get herself back to a healthy state mentally/physically.  Some are just hearing this news and others are already aware of what happened and asking if there is anything they can do to help her.. Donating to her here will be a big help so she is able to take the full time off from work and not be financially drained during what is already a tough time.
