Helping my sister Becky beat cancer

Hi, my name is Rosie Flores, I'm a musician from Austin and I'm fundraising for my younger sister of 68 years, who after being in the hospital with pneumonia for 2 weeks was then diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She's not been able to work for a few months and is missing her open enrollment for her insurance and is therefore getting cut off in June. Her daughters and my sister are taking time off of their work to try and help her with daily needs. I'll be flying to San Diego to help for a couple of weeks in June but I'm sad that I can't be there longer.

Becky has gotten very weak from the chemo treatments and can barely walk and needs help in and out of bed. If we can raise funds for her here, she would be able to pay costs of prescription meds and healthy food and other living expenses like her mortgage. Her daughters will want to get her a recliner chair to help her get up and down by herself. She lives upstairs so she could so use an electric chair that will get her up and down the stairs when she has to get to her doctor appointments. Most importantly a home-care nurse for a few days a week would make everyone's lives so much easier and give her the medical care she deserves.

You never know how your life is gonna drastically change when someone you love gets sick and helpless. My hope is to make her journey a little easier and we are keeping hopeful and positive that Becky will make it through the treatments.
