Helping Nazrana Achieve her Calling

Donation protected
My name is Nazrana Khan. I am from Zimbabwe and am the third child of six children. Choosing Christ brought financial, emotional, and physical constraints into my life. I thank God for the hardships, such as sleeping on the floor and having no food to eat, because these trying times taught me to rely on God fully.

God worked out a miracle for me and provided sponsorship for me to study at Hartland College in Rapidan, Virginia. Where I have graduated with a Health Ministry certificate. I have a passion for Media ministry and mental health coaching and see these two as endeavors to share the gospel.

Since joining Hartland, I have gone on two “mission trips.” I recently attended the GYC 2022 Pre-conference and worked with people in the community. This work exposed me to homeless shelters and ministry with refugees. As a result, I felt a deep burden to be trained to help people with social issues as my life calling. Meeting the needs and being the hands and feet of Jesus during this mission trip kindled a desire in my heart.

Upon my return, the burden of being trained properly to help people with social issues deepened. Therefore, I applied for graduate studies in social work at Andrews University. The masters in Social Work will prepare me for more opportunities to work with different people groups. My professional goal is to be an effective, efficient, well-rounded medical missionary. I envision combining all that the Lord has taught me at Hartland in media and health ministry with my social work degree.

Because I have a BBA in Business Management from Solusi University, I was accepted to start graduate studies in the fall semester of 2023 at Andrews University. Though I applied to Andrews, my current financial situation makes it seem impossible to attend by fall (August 23, 2023), but with God, all things are possible. I am trying to do my part to make it possible.

The master’s in social work program at Andrews University can typically be completed by fulltime students in two years. Tuition (per credit hour) at masters level is $1230.00. I will be taking 56 credits for this program. I was sent an email and informed that I will be receiving a 33% discount on the program. This brings the total cost of tuition for the two-year program to $46,149.60.

I have been praying about this and thought to reach out to you to ask for your assistance. As the Lord says, “Seek, knock, and ask,” I realized I needed to take this step because I’ll never know how God would bless this effort unless I try. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read through this and for your help in whichever way possible.
