Helping Nicole in her time of need
Donation protected
Let me introduce you to a woman I recently had the pleasure to help. Nicole is a schoolteacher and mother of two who has been unable to work since January 2023. For the past two years she has been seen by multiple doctors in the St. Louis area for debilitating symptoms. She became frustrated and discouraged with no clear diagnosis. A mutual friend connected us because her frustration was similar to mine, and she needed some guidance to get help.
She was able to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, which is one of the best medical facilities in the country. They diagnosed her; however, it is a rare version of endometriosis called adenomyosis, and the doctors believe it may have spread to her thoracic cavity as well. This causes her to have difficulties swallowing and not even be able to sit upright, walk, or do anything physical.
Nicole had insurance in the beginning, however now the Mayo clinic is out of network, which means that all future consultations, testing, and treatments will be out of pocket. Nicole has Mayo appointments coming up in December on the 28th and 29th to have testing done to determine what the next steps will be for her treatment.
Being unable to work, Nicole has exhausted all of her personal savings to keep her home, and she is currently filing paperwork for disability assistance. However, that takes time as well.
Nicole is a very humble person and would not ask for help and that is why it is so important for me to try and help her as I have been helped in the past. She recently had to put $1200 into her car to keep it running on top of her medical bills, and now she also needs a new phone because the motherboard fried.
Please consider a donation to help Nicole with her medical bills and caring for her children. Anything you can do at this time to help this mom of two is greatly appreciated. Remember it is through giving that we truly receive!
