Helping Others Through Celia
Tax deductible
As you all know, our beloved Celia Padre passed away this May. Her 64th birthday on September 5th is quickly approaching, and her family would like to celebrate her in a way that feels authentic to who she was to others – a caring and selfless person. Prior to her passing, she expressed a desire to volunteer to feed the homeless, but unfortunately, due to the constraints of the pandemic and limitations of her health, she was unable to physically do so. We can, however, make her wishes a reality by “adopting a meal” for up to 500 homeless men, women, and children at the Los Angeles Mission. Per the Los Angeles Mission website, this sponsored meal will cost $1265.00 (see their website). Money raised from this fundraiser will pay for a specific meal at the Los Angeles Mission for so many deserving people.
Celia was undoubtedly a generous and thoughtful person whose kindness was experienced by many, and by helping to feed the homeless in her honor, we can help her spirit of charity and love for others reverberate throughout the community.
