Helping Our Friends Get Well & Heal

Hey, loved ones! I know--KNOW--all of us are going through one thing or another right now, some worse than others. We've living through a period in time full of historical, largely negative, events. But, there are also sunbeams of positivity radiating as well.
Today I'm writing about a dear, dear friend, I'm going to keep his identity somewhat cloaked because, as with many of us, it's difficult for him to ask for help. (I'll note that he and I have 138 of you as friends in common, and his wife and I have 102 friends in common.) But he's reached the point where that's necessary. He is very ill at the moment and has not been able to work for a couple of months because of this. I sent him to an SSDI lawyer who is assisting him with the application, but it will be quite a while before he receives any financial relief. They also have a teenage daughter and are trying to provide for her as well.
Here are some of the health problems he is dealing with currently: -Lupus (SLE) -Celiac disease -Autoimmune based diabetes - mixed connective tissue disease -SLAP tear in right shoulder - torn rotator in left shoulder - dual wrist carpal tunnel - 6 bulging discs - early onset advanced degenerative disc disease - and reactive airway disorder. Also, his wife had a head injury at work and is suffering from chronic migraines.
Our friend is very bright, and was recently able to complete paralegal training and is set to become a paralegal! We share many of the same values on civil rights, especially LGBTQ rights, and a sincere love for animals. And Halloween! Our hope is that when he is healed, he will be able to work as a paralegal, on important civil rights issues.
I love these people a ton, and I'm certain those we know in common do as well, and for those who don't know them personally, if you're on my friends list on Facebook, I can attest that nearly every one of you would love them as well.
If you have the capacity to help them out, in any amount, thank you a million times over. My philosophy has always been that we are all on this life journey together, and we should all do our best to make it as love-filled as we can.
Sending all love, peace in mind and heart, and reassurance that I care, no one is alone, especially through these troubled times.
