Helping our Posso (Zac) out
Donation protected
There has been a long and storied road for Zachary already. He has a very lengthy history of health problems and has gone through complications with testicular cancer as well as some prostate issues on top of losing some teeth from radiation treatment complications. For the most part, he has been very self-sufficient during this phase and always took pride that he could take care of himself while life was dealing him a rough hand.
Zac started having vision problems in the fall of 2021. Around Thanksgiving of 2021 he was completely unable to make out any kind of detail and just saw colors and shapes. After a few stints in the emergency room, it was determined that Zac had lost his vision due to proliferative diabetic retinopathy. Many more hospital visits and tests occurred and it was then discovered that Zac had LADA or latent autoimmune diabetes in adults. This type of diabetes is a form of a slower progression of type one diabetes in which the pancreas slowly stops producing insulin the way it should but is brought on by some kind of trauma or incident. It has been seven months of many forms of treatments to help get his diabetes under control and restore his vision, but since he is unable to see and the diabetes is breaking down the protein in his body, he clearly has not been able to work.
His savings has been exhausted and he is currently waiting for disability, but until then he is looking for any kind of assistance to help pay for simple things like his diabetes supplies and day-to-day necessities.
We’ve all had the experience of Zac’s kindness, one of his epic stories, or a Posso pour, anything that you can give will help Zac along the way. If you’d like to donate directly his Venmo & cash app is possozac
