Helping our Puerto Rico Family

For those that contributed...a sincere thank you. We have raised well over the original $10,000 goal, and are well on our way to 20K! The Go Fund Me folks thought I should be a little more specific in my description, so I have updated the story here.
My name is Joe Sellens and I work for Scientific Games International Chicago Office. This is a personal fundraiser I have set up to help our displaced co-workers in our SGI Puerto Rico office. As we all know, the island was devastated by a recent hurricane, and of the 100+ employees there, 10 have lost their homes and all personal belongings to the wind, rain and subsequent flooding. Thankfully all of our staff is safe, but it will take many years to rebuild the island to what it once was. 100% of these funds will go to assist those employees to rebuild their lives and will be administered by the local site manager Jose Swanson as well as the Chief Treasury Officer Joaquin Class . We will deposit the funds into the local site account, and the team on the ground will use them to help cover immediate needs such as food, water and permanent shelter. Anything remaining will go to help them rebuild their family households. I am reaching out to friends, SGI co-workers, former SGI co-workers and others in the gmaing world to help these folks rebuild their lives. It has been over a week since the hurricane, and 85% of the island still does not have power, and local officials are warning it will take many more weeks and months to restore power, water and sewer service to the vast majority of the island. Thank you all for your generosity and for helping our extended family in Puerto Rico.
